Designer, Olivia was born a wanderer. From childhood, surrounded by trinkets, crystals and her treasure chest. Cleopatra’s Bling was born from an adoration of travel, the etherial, and the symbolic. A fusion of eastern allure and western style. Dreamed up in Paris, she moved to Turkey to learn the art of adornment in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. Olivia now resides between Istanbul, Paris and Melbourne. She creates jewellery with emotional and historical relevance, dipping into the collective memory, all while respecting ancient jewellery-making traditions.  

Design: It takes its name from the Goddess Menvra, who is the Etruscan counterpart to Athena. Like Athena - one of whose emblems is the owl - Menvra is associated with war, art, wisdom, and medicine. However, unlike Athena, the Etruscans also believed Menvra to have domain over the weather, with myths being written about her capability as a thrower of thunderbolts. She is one of nine deities to have control over lightning and storms. Her very name, however, recalls owl-like wisdom. It comes from the ancient Greek root “mnem” - memory, mind.

Material: 18k Gold Plated, nickel and lead free. Comes with a chain.

Care: As Olivia and her team hand craft each piece, slight variations are to be expected and are what make the designs one-of-a-kind. 

Please be gentle with your treasures and do not apply lotions and perfume while wearing your gold plated pieces. Please avoid water when wearing gold plated jewellery. Gold has a tendency to scratch, so extra care should be taken when wearing and cleaning to maintain quality.
