Tanora designers Manon and Will reimagined the handicrafts of their mother country Madagascar and family raffia workshops in pieces suited to the beach-loving Australian lifestyle. All products are handcrafted in their family workshop in Madagascar. With every bag sold, 10 trees are planted in Madagascar, via their planting partner... https://edenprojects.org/
Raffia is one of the most sustainable materials in the fashion industry. The cultivation of raffia involves only the careful hand-pruning (rather than cutting) of the raffia palm, keeping a minimal footprint on the environment, Their raffia is pruned at a minimum of 1.2 metres, ensuring that harvesting is non-disruptive and that the health of the palm is preserved.
